Day 23 - The cookies that brought a community together

I am so excited! Word is that many of you out there are preparing baking for our community cookie collaboration! I couldn't be happier. Thank you for caring and sharing!

I have been receiving texts, calls, messages and emails about the collaboration. I just love to see us pulling together for a great cause and showing our community spirit.

Big thanks to the foods 9/10 class at Boundary Secondary School for knowing the importance of giving back by making seven dozen cookies to donate!

Its not too late to bake a batch! Make a dozen or two cookies to bring down to MacArthur Centre Friday anytime between 8am and 4pm to drop your cookies to me. They will be sold at the Boundary Winter Market with all proceeds going to the Greenwood Food Bank.

Bring a non-perishable food item and come on down to the Boundary Winter Market. The market is happening this Saturday January 26th from 10am to 2pm at MacArthur Centre in Greenwood.

We will have 23 vendors, Russian food on the menu, pick-a-prize raffle tables, bake sale, free helium balloons for the first 20 kids, and the band Three Chicks and a Rick performing from 11-1.

You can support the Greenwood Food Bank by participating in the raffle tables or cookie collaboration bake sale. All the proceeds from the market go to the Greenwood Food Bank. Help us fill the shelves this winter.
